Dolly Parton’s 5-Ingredient Chicken Casserole

This simple, creamy, comforting casserole is one of Dolly Parton’s most beloved recipes.
With just five basic ingredients, this dish delivers the perfect weeknight dinner — warm, rich,
and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked and shredded chicken
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 sleeve butter crackers (such as Ritz), crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream.
  3. Spread half of the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish, then sprinkle half of the cheese over it.
  4. Add the remaining chicken mixture on top, sprinkle with the remaining cheese, and finish with the crushed crackers.
  5. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is hot and bubbly.
